We are officially moved in! We got everything in Saturday, except the kitchen stuff, I am doing that tomorrow on my day off. I will take you on a tour tomorrow after I have cleaned the place up. I have worked the last five days including today so I have not been able to clean, the place looks like a tornado hit it, or two people just invaded! When I got home last night from work Junk did have these lovely Easter Lilies sitting on the counter for me. I just love them. And they smell so good. My mom is coming into town this Friday and I could not be more excited! I have the whole weekend off and we are going to have some fun. I will be back tomorrow with more pictures. Thanks to everyone and their well wishes for us on this new journey. " )

Made It To Friday

Well we did not close on the house yesterday, I knew it was to good to be true. We did, however schedule it for this afternoon so if at one o'clock today I show up to the title company and they say we can't close I am going to go a-wall on someone. It has been moved three times and everyone is pointing fingers at everyone else but no one is really trying to help. This is a horrific process and I am glad I am going through it once and then not again for a long time. On a lighter note, here is a pic of my new layout for KIKI ART, head on over to the blog and check it out. My layout is about my hobby traveling. It is a BIG hobby and one of my favorite things to do. Oh and guess what, fingers crossed, we found a beautiful basset hound puppy in the shelter yesterday. Junk is going Sunday to start the adoption process. He is to cute and we hope that he is still available when he goes! So far every dog I have loved has been adopted before we got the house so we were stuck but maybe now it can work out. Have a great weekend everyone!

Tomorrow we sign the paper work to get our house, by tomorrow night I will be sitting in the living room of my very first home. This has been such a stressful process, but I know it will all be worth it. Now I just have to decide what to fill it with!

More Wedding Details!

First off I realized that I put the wrong pair of pants up for my fit session from yesterday so here is the pair that I meant to put up. Love them so much.And now on with the wedding details! I am going to string up photos in between two trees, love this idea. I am going to display our engagement photos.
Smores, need I say more. Hope they are a hit.
Bought lots of these to hang from the trees. I am also going to get lots of paper lanterns.
Already have lots of these baskets around the house. I am going to put them on my tables and put my plates in them.
Lots of galvanized buckets for glass bottled sodas.
Bought several white square cake stands to go with my white square plates for the dessert table.
And I just ordered my wooden silverware. I think they are my best purchase yet. They are so whimsical and cute.
Loving what I have so far. It is really coming together and I can't wait to see it all together!

Fit Session #4

Wanted to share a lovely ensemble today. This out fit is simple but so beautiful. Taking an embellished tank with beaded shoulders, this means you don't have to wear jewelery (I am a minimalist myself). Layer under the tank a pretty yellow tank like the one below or do a bright orange tank to add some color and interest. Finish it off with some wide leg pants in a lonely egg plant color and you have an amazing outfit that only combined three items. Simple and quick and did I mention gorgeous!

Junk and I have a lot to do this week, we are closing on our house and moving, I hate moving. Does anyone else hate moving? We are also buying a fridge and washer/dryer. We have some other pieces of furniture we are planning on getting but not sure if that will happen this week of next week. Life is just to busy for us right now with my crazy schedule. I did get my new issue of Creating Keepsakes and have been pouring over it gaining inspiration. I have already finished my remaining scrapbook pages for my design teams so I could pack up our study. It was a mess. Can't wait till the new house. I get my very own craft room! So excited! See you all tomorrow!

Kiki Art and Visual Aids

Posted today on the KIKI ART blog, this month one of our inspirations is our passions and hobbies. I wanted to showcase my love for my internship and store visuals. This layout was simple and so much fun to make. Paper and ribbon is Kiki Art. Love the new KIKI line, it is so much fun to work with and I can get so many looks from it. Would love some support. Today I had to work and Junk left for Stillwater, he went up to see friends for the weekend. First time I have been alone at home in three months. It is a little weird. A little lonely. I did go to Bed Bath and Beyond tonight to do my last registry. I spent an hour in there! But I am now done with registering. Thank goodness. My showers are coming up, as well as my wedding! Getting excited. I have several things to order and need to rent my chairs and then I am finished except for the setup. Ah, can't wait. Need to send out the invites with in the next two weeks. So much work for one day. But it will be so worth it!

Registry

Junk and I spent our day yesterday registering for our wedding. We went to Target, drove to Ikea(we did not register here, we just need some furniture), and ended up at Lowes. I also did an online registry for Anthropologie (of course). It was a long day but it was productive. We actually were surprised at how little we registered for. Most of what we registered for was practical and items that we really do need. My Anthropologie list is a little different, most of those are just pretty! " ) We have found some furniture that we like and will hopefully be getting that ordered and in the new house soon. We also went to the animal shelter yesterday. I knew that Junk would fall in love with one of them. He has ever liked shelter dogs, thinks that they are un-loyal. I of course disagreed and made him go with me. He conseeded and said that I was right. I quote, "I could find so many dogs here I want to take home". Awww... Here are some of the items from our Anthropologie registry. I am excited to start sending out invites soon. And our shower is coming up so that is really exciting! Happy Monday!

House Plans

We move into our new house in less than 2 weeks. Trying to figure out what we want to go ahead and buy and what we are going to wait on. This is what I want to the kitchen to look like when I am done with it. Will take a few coats of white paint but I am a patient person. " ) Tomorrow we are going to go register for our shower, I am excited to go pick out all the fun stuff I want!! Is that sad? I hope not. I need to decide how I am going to decorate the place so I know what to ask for. Should be fun either way. Except that Junk will be there, and he does not do shopping well.... never mind this is going to end tragically! Can't wait to make this house my own and flex those Interior Design skills I acquired in college. I also got my diploma in the mail the other day. I have officially graduated with an Interior Design degree. And it only took 3 1/2 years. " )

I discovered something new, a new favorite treat. It is called 'Caramel Cob' and it is the greatest invention since..well...ever. Caramel popcorn in the shape of corn on the cob, and oh is it good!! I liked it so much I tracked down the manufacturer (aka looked up the website on the back of the packaging) and *BAM* ordered them in bulk for my dessert table at my wedding. Yeah I am corny, no pun intended, but they really are that good, trust me.

In other news, today I cooked up a storm. Had the day off so I made corn chowder, this beautiful pot pie and spicy veggie soup. Packaged all u,p Junk and I have enough food in the fridge to last us at least a week, which makes it so much easier for me. He can just pick what he wants, re-heat and eat and I don't have to lift a finger. I have also been scrapbooking today, trying to meet some upcoming deadlines, still planning my $2000 wedding (fun fun) and trying to decide if I want to go ahead and get my teaching certificate because I have to face the music, I was not meant to work retail for long periods of time. If they move me to visual in September I will stay (that is when our new store opens) but if not I will have to cut my loses. I went to college so I would not have to work every weekend and all night. Have a good one everybody!

Shelter Dogs

I have always had a soft spot for animals, I have spent my life volunteering in animal shelters across Oklahoma and Texas. They have also been the best hours of my life. Nothing compares, for me right now, than the feeling I get when I see a shelter dog wag their tail and get excited for me to open their cage door and play with them. They are so willing to please, so scared and want so much to be in happy loving homes. I am so excited to welcome one of these beautiful animals into my home soon and hope that people across this nation can continue to help animal shelters everywhere. They need our help just as much as the animals do. So if you find yourself bored on a sunny Saturday afternoon, go to your local shelter and walk/play with the animals there, you will be glad you did. I found this little story a while back ago and it touched my heart, I hope it touches you as much as it has touched me. " )

I rescued a human today.

Her eyes met mine as she walked down the corridor peering apprehensively into the kennels. I felt her need instantly and knew I had to help her. I wagged my tail, not too exuberantly, so she wouldn't be afraid. As she stopped at my kennel I blocked her view from a little accident I had in the back of my cage. I didn't want her to know that I hadn't been walked today. Sometimes the shelter keepers get too busy and I didn't want her to think poorly of them.

As she read my kennel card I hoped that she wouldn't feel sad about my past. I only have the future to look forward to and want to make a difference in someone's life. She got down on her knees and made little kissy sounds at me. I shoved my shoulder and side of my head up against the bars to comfort her. Gentle fingertips caressed my neck; she was desperate for companionship. A tear fell down her cheek and I raised my paw to assure her that all would be well.

Soon my kennel door opened and her smile was so bright that I instantly jumped into her arms. I would promise to keep her safe. I would promise to always be by her side. I would promise to do everything I could to see that radiant smile and sparkle in her eyes. I was so fortunate that she came down my corridor. So many more are out there who haven't walked the corridors. So many more to be saved. At least I could save one.

Fit Session # 2

Today I wanted to share an outfit that I put together for a shopper a couple weeks ago. The cardigan here is not the one I used, that one is sold out online so the picture is no longer available, but a gray cardigan looks amazing with this tank and skirt. The gray cardigan I actually used was long and simple and did not have any closures on it, it just hung open. The skirt is high waisted with lace detailing and the tank and cardigan are looser and more billowy. The pop of color against the black, white and grey are what really make this outfit special.

These shoes I added to this post, we do not have them in stores yet, but they are FANTASTIC! Aren't they? I want to try them on so much, they are just show stoppers!
And this little girl is a local puppy in a shelter that I have been following for a little bit. If she is still available when we move to the house, I really want to give her a home. She is so precious!

Still here, still planning the wedding and still hanging in there. Not enjoying my job right now, working weekends is really starting to get to me since that means I don't get to see Junk much. Hopefully that will soon change. We got a house yesterday! It is not the one I wanted, the guy selling that one was just not a great person to deal with, but we love the house and can't wait to move in and start something new. Fit Session #1

I have been wanting to do some new things here on my blog and this is the first. I call them fit sessions and it is a post where I share an outfit I have put together and love! This outfit is one I built at Anthropologie yesterday. These pieces are great to have and look beautiful on. The striped top is a great basic with a lovely little sleeve detail. The dress is one that I think some people would think is to much but trust me it is beautiful and fits like a dream. Layering the shirt under the dress and then adding the most lovely green cardigan, you get a unique effect and outfit. It is so full of color and charm. Then add the woven belt and it is the icing on top of the cake. I tried this on at work yesterday and I have to say, I want it! Have a great weekend everyone!

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. Junk and I went house hunting again today, we also had some pictures taken, can't wait to get those back! Thought I would share one of my recent favorite outfits with you. I bought this lovely blouse at Anthropologie and love it so much! It is the most stunning piece of clothing I have ever owned. I am wearing a cream tank underneath since it is shear, but the lace is just to beautiful for words. And it looks amazing on everyone! I have sold many of them since I stared wearing mine to work. " )
And here is the amazing outfit I spoke of in my last post. Like I said, I do have the blouse already, a great orange color, but with the navy mixed media cardigan! Wow! It just makes it so much more beautiful. Will defiantly be getting this very soon!

Spring Things I am Loving

As an 'Anthropologist', yes I went there hehe, one of the things about my job that I really love is getting to play dress up with people. I watch what people pick out as they walk among our racks and then I go and grab some items I think would look amazing with what they got. Basically I become a personal shopper/stylist. And I love it. What is even better, people seem to like what I do, I generally come up with great out of the box outfits that people are buying. Yeah!!
Take for instance this cardigan and white basic. Love them separately, will be buying them for sure, but I also love them together. The white makes the green pop and the detailing on the top is scuttle but still adds interest to the ensemble.
No words can describe how much I want this necklace. So gorgeous!
And this little number is also a favorite. The mix of lace and stripe so cute. We actually have a picture on the Anthropologie website with this cardigan over a pale orange ruffle blouse. I Have the blouse I just need to get this! They are stunning together and You would not think so but I promise they are, promise. I love/hate that so many of the clothes we carry at Anthropologie are to my taste. It means A. I love them and would wear them. But it also mean B., can't have them all because I have to save for them. So hard to wait!! Hope everyone has a spectacular weekend!

We received a chilly visit this past weekend, snow and lots of it! The final tally for Fort Worth Texas was over a foot of snow on the ground. It was so beautiful. For twenty-four hours the world was blanketed with the most beautiful white snow. Driving around town you could tell the people of Texas are not used to getting snow. They were LOVING it! I saw adults playing in the fluffy stuff almost as much as the kids! My apartment complex alone had over ten snowmen that just seemingly popped up out of no where. It was really special to see how everyone got into the spirit of the snow. A very special time to witness the magic a little snow (or in this case a lot) can bring to the world. Happy Thursday!

Weekend's Over

I have worked all weekend but I have also been working on my wedding planning! On Friday I got all my supplies out that I had so far for the wedding and placed them out on the kitchen table, and Jordan did not mind because that meant we got to eat dinner on the couch for three days. Loving how they all look together. My colors are final, white and orange, and I am totally loving how it is looking. I am still getting items together but hopefully in a few more weeks it will all be together.
Here is a picture I found that I LOVED! So much that I am going to do my tables similarly. I am going to get black paper to run the length of the table and also going to trace a place mat on them. I did not want to have assign seating so I will not be writing names on the mats, I think they just look really cool. White chairs, some pretty flowers, so pretty.

Give Me Two Days Off In A Row And...

Day 20: So this is our fridge, I really have no idea how my parents have a full fridge. This is two and a half weeks of food, some ingredients are in the cabinet but still! How do people have overflowing fridges? Guess I will find out in time.
Day 21: The remnants of the soup I made for dinner. Love this soup, it is a corn, ham and potato chowder. I get hungry just thinking about it! This is also a testament that I need to continue doing the dishes after every meal, so hard to do!
Day 22: Went to the gynecologist this morning, that is the one doctor visit I really hate, ugg. I am having a horrible time with my hives today too, not sure what my deal is. Junk is out tonight with the guys so I cooked a pizza, baked some toffee bars and am currently watching last night's project runway since I missed it. What are yo doing this evening?
I have been writing out my wedding plans all day. I can't wait to share. I am making a color board of all my inspiration to share with family and friends, that means you!

Day 18 & 19

Day 19: We are cereal junkies. Love cereal. We did commit to buying cereal with less sugar, we get coco pebbles though, he begged....I gave in. Day 18: Finished my art box for work. I don't know what they are going to think of it but I hope they like it. (This picture was taken before it was done)

Also, I have been having trouble with my camera only taking blurry photos, anyone have any ideas how to fix that? Thanks!

Has It Been This Long?

So, it has been to long since I have taken the time to blog. Amazing how much you don't want to do anything after working 40 hours a week. So with out further ado, my week...

Day 17: Ate soup and a blueberry scone for lunch today, so good. Still feeling good about myself. Trying to let myself breath and take things as they come my way. " )
Day 16: Saw the in-laws! They were in town for a friends birthday party. Mia turned six this weekend. Mia is also from China and the girls love seeing her. We all went to Chuck E Cheese, I had not been there in years and I think that I can handle going another decade with out it.
Day 15: I was feeling better this day, still a little edgy from stress. Loved my hair though!
Day 14: I was feeling low this day, I did not look great, I had had a flare up of hives and my eyes were swollen.
Day 13: The other ostrich!
Day 12: One of the displays at work, we are getting ready to change them out! Exciting!
Day 11: Commute, need I say more?
Day 10: This is the church that Junk and I attend. I really love it there, the most home I have felt at a church in a long time.
Sorry my pictures were backwards! Did not realize it till I was half way through, ha! Hope your weekend was great. I have tomorrow off and I am going to take advantage of it!

Day 7-9

Day 7: Took pictures of the lounge area in my store. One of the best parts of the store, it has all the candles and little goodies.
Day 8: Here is a picture of me taking a picture of the outfit put together during the morning meeting. It goes in the dressing room to help inspire us to outfit our customers as well as spark their creativity.
Day 9: Went to see 'Day Breakers' tonight. Not going to recommend it though. A little to gory for my taste. But a bad movie can always be made better with blogging and Creating Keepsakes!

Project 365 Continues...

Day 3: Did a lot of Scrapbooking and organizing today. Made one of my favorite layouts to date. Finally have a room that is mine to get supplies out and dig around in. Very happy feeling!

Day 4: Wanted to record that today when I used the last of the toilet paper I re-placed it. (This is more for Junk than anything) ; )
Day 5: My first day of work as the new assistant manager at Anthropologie. I did not do much more than fill out paper work adn go through all the hand and training books but I met some great co-workers and got a tour of my store. I can not express enough how excited I am to be working there, to be surrounded by beautiful things each and every day. Bliss.
Day 6: This morning I decided to take a pic of my outfit for work today. My Antropologie shirt, J Crew leopard cardigan, Forever 21 scraf, American Eagle jeans and the most amazing pair of red zebra flats from Forever 21. They did not make the picture but trust me, they are gorgeous!
Hope everyone is having a happy Wednesday. I am going to create a little before I head off to work and then I am going to come home to the most wonderful man in the world! Sappy? Yeah, just a little. : D

My Project 365

So last year I did not get my project 365 till February so I decided to save it for this year since I was way behind on taking pictures. Love this kit SO much, the colors and just the ease of it is wonderful. Can't wait to fill it up!

Day 1:
Yep, we bought a new car Friday. That was quite a day. Junk's car finally died on us which sucked since we thought it would last longer. We bought a Nissan Altima. It is a lovely car and Junk is super excited. It is the nicest car he has ever had.

Day 2:
We finally got our living room together today. My stuff is all picked up (Junk's is not, just saying) Made lasagna for dinner tonight. Was really yummy. Since it is just the two of us, I have found it hard to add extras to the dinner list. Usually I would have made salad and french bread with the lasagna but we would not be able to eat it all and I am trying to keep the food budget low now that we have a car payment. Ah, reality....don't you just love it. " )

New Year... New Pages

Firsts

Made our first breakfast in the new apartment, made our first dinner too. We are officially on our own and we officially have bought every piece of food in the kitchen, that was a scary Target trip. It feels so weird to be on my own. I am happy to report that so far everything I have made has tasted great and Junk has eaten it, he is a very picky eater. I look forward to many more sit down dinners together.

Went and saw 'Sherlock Holmes' tonight. Surprisingly good movie, if you have some time this weekend/new year's eve, I suggest you check it out. January is only one day away and the new kit over at Magpie will be up. I will show you my layouts then. ; )

We Made It

We are here in the new apartment safe and sound. It is still messy and every day we make it look more and more like a home. Hopefully by the end of the week it will make since. I have already gotten some scrapbooking down and can't wait to finish my little craft room, so happy to finally have one! I will share photos as soon as I get my act together and take some! Funny story, Jordan's Mom had noticed the last two days, since we moved to Texas, that his little sister has seemed down, so when she asked Aubry what the matter was she replied, "Mom would you ever give one of your children away?" Shocked and horrified by the question Stacy quickly replied "No, why?" To which Aubry said....."Then why did you give Jordan to Texas!?!?" So cute, he is glad he is missed. See you soon. " )

Since my last post, I know it has been a while, I have graduated and I got a job offer from Dillard's today. I am super excited! I still have my interview with Anthropologie this Wednesday but I am glad to have something finalized! Started packing today and it is gruesome. My room looks like a bomb went off and there are more boxes then I anticipated. I hate packing but I am glad that things are starting to move and that I am on my way to new place and a new adventure! So what do you say we celebrate this joyous occasion by giving away free scrapbooking product! I know you won't say no. December Daily 7-8

What can I say, we are food people. And I take a lot of pictures involving food. Went to Cafe 88 for dinner Monday night. Ordered fried rice and cheese wantons. We want to make sure we go to our favorite Stillwater restaurants before we graduate on Saturday.
Today it rained and rained.... and it was freezing. Took a picture of my current Stillwater home with the freezing rain on the gate. It was SO cold. I got school work done but still have a lot to do. Got to keep on keeping on.

December Daily 1-6

Day 6: Ate at Cafe De Teipei for lunch today. Ate egg rolls and soy beans, YUM!
Day 5: Went to Sho Guns tonight for Junk's birthday. We go every year and I look forward to it every time. We always get the The Royal Combination = $20.99. We gave Junk his presents, he got a pair of boots, pub glasses, a bulldog pillow (which really went over well with the little girls) and good old fashion money.
Day 4: Had my interview with Dillard's today. Drove down to Dallas with my Mom and then stopped by Anthropologie. Got an interview with them too! Can't wait for that one. On the drive down and back I knitted Christmas garland, finished a whole skein. I was pretty proud of myself.

Day three: I missed day three so it will just be words in my book.

Day 2: I finished my school project with my group, that is Young above helping me in the Library cafe. The other picture is of Junk's house mate playing with their dog Dakota. I could not get her to stop moving so this is what I got.

Here is what my desk has looked like for the last 24 hours. I have been cranking out pages for my December Daily left and right. I am glad I had the skeleton of the project done or I would never have finished it in time since today is December first! I have taken pictures of the pages I have but I still don't have a page for the 24th, so I will be doing that tonight and then posting them all!
I revised my first few pages and ended up taking out the snowflake paper and re-arranging things. I am liking the result. I used a clear album for this project which is good and bad. For some reason I had a lot of see through papers I put in this book and that is making it a little difficult to cover the back of the page so you don't see all the glue. I guess that is where pictures will be going.

My layouts are up at Magpie kit club, the photo quality is not great since I had to take the pictures at night so I re-took them this morning and will post those here as well so you can see them better. " )

She's an Explorer

Aubrey Rose is such a cute kid! She loves to be outside catching butterflies, running around bare foot and smelling the sweet flowers. She's my girl! Had to say goodbye to the family today and go back to work and school. Had such a great weekend, really did not want to go home. But I did work a little on my December Daily album tonight. I'll share pics tomorrow. It is really coming together and looking oh so cute! Can't wait! See you tomorrow . " )

When your intestines are hurting...

*WARNING! The following story is not for weak stomachs. *

Well yesterday I ended up here, in the ER, not the grandest of experiences if I do say so myself. Early yesterday morning I went to the bathroom and noticed blood, not good. I freaked out and mom kept me somewhat calm. Decided to keep a watch on it and went to work. After being at work for two hours I went to the restroom again and the blood was getting worse so I called my Mom, aren't mom's great?, and off to the emergency room we went. I have never been so I was a tiny bit scared. My mom made it worse by telling me they might want to do a colon-oscopy, which made me worry more. Dr. Anderson was very nice and took good care of me, even though he did a rectal exam, I never want to do that again. I tried to keep everyone laughing even though the pain was really bad. They also had to do blood work. I am a fainter who convulses so I am a nurse's worse nightmare. Luckily I pulled it together and and there wasn't any fainting. All in all I was there for a little over two hours and it was decided that I have a severe intestinal infection brought on by a couple months of hard stress and too much sugar in my diet. So today, besides some serious pain issues, I am laying in bed eating malt o meal and watching my favorite old Christmas movies, aka Jack Frost(the clay-mation one) best one ever! And I don't need a colon oscopy! I have never been so relieved.

About how I am going to decorate my house. Junk and I are moving in a month and could not be more excited. We are starting to collect the things we will need, we bought dishes yesterday, so weird! We are also looking at a dining table and chairs this weekend. So grateful for all of help our friends and family have given us. Thanks to them we will not have to buy a lot of the larger items. These pottery barn entryways really inspire me. I want my house to look like them!

I got off work today, at around six o'clock, and I walked in to this lovely breakfast for dinner spread that Junk had made me. He had come over and had my house mate let him in and he had cooked me dinner. I was so surprised, he also bought candy canes and made a heart on my bed for me. As I have said before, he rarely does things like this so my first instinct was to grab my camera, which he thought was funny. He is my man!

and headed to Branson, Missouri for the weekend. We had a really great time going to Silver Dollar City with my mom and brother. I also got the boy to take some pictures with me!! I will share more later. It was SO warm this weekend, best time to go, it was crazy crowded but we did good. Ate some of the best food in the world and did some serious shopping. We had a spur of the moment date night tonight, Junk and I went to a local Chinese restaurant here in Stilly called Cafe 88. Your looking at the Grilled Sesame Chicken, yummy. We also had cheese wontons. Afterwords we went to Orange Tree and had ice cream. I got the pumpkin pie, best ice cream ever! We are not going to go see a movie but we are going to go home and cuddle on the couch to some history channel. Best night ever. " )

Today is November first and the next challenge is up at Scrap That Poetry! I am the Guest Designer for this month and the first poem I was given to work with was "Where the Sidewalk Ends". Great Poem. Here is my take on the challenge. The in house designers did a great job, lots of inspiration. Go and play along, we would love to have you! Now on to my Halloween. It was spent at work but I still had a great time. I went into work at 12:30 and did not get out till almost 2 in the morning, long day. Saw lots of costumes at the stadium last night, gave out lots of candy. What made the night even better was what I accomplished. For those of you who don't know me well, or not outside of this blog even, I am typically a shy person, and shy people are not usually leaders. Last night I was placed in my usual position as the concession attendant on the North side of the Oklahoma State Boone Pickens Stadium. I have had the same captain/supervisor over there the entire season. Well not to be mean but she never really does anything and pawns all of her jobs off onto other people, she is a nice person just not a great leader. Before the gates opened I found myself asking to have her walkie so I could get the supplies I needed for my station, and I never gave it back. She ended up taking my position and the other workers on the North side immediately replaced me in their minds as the new supervisor. Everyone did what I asked and we got everything done much more efficiently and got out earlier than usual. It was a great experience and really made me feel that even though I am shy in nature, when given the opportunity I can become a leader and really excel. It was a nice little end to my Halloween. Hope yours was exciting as mine! " )

Fine Fall Day

Today was stunning, warm enough that I did not need my coat but just cool enough to wear a sweater and love it. I ran errands today, mostly boring stuff, post office, grad fairs and then I went to my local vintage store. Did not find much but could not help but take a picture. I even experimented with my wardrobe today. I got the crazy idea to layer my white dress under my grey sweater, add black leggings, my new black boots and a wide belt, I thought it was adorable, can't really see it in the picture but I promise it was cute. I have been nursing a sick fiance today too, he's in bed with strep/pneumonia, poor guy. I loaded him up with sprite and Gatorade before I left for the evening. Doctor told him to drink a gallon of non-water liquids, not sure he is going to make it.

I am finally feeling ready to continue to plan my wedding, after so many ups and downs I am really pleased that I have started to plan again. I am trying to make it as inexpensive as possible which means everything will happen in my back yard, which I must say I like the idea of. I am also making most of my decorations and several of my mom's friends have volunteered to help with food, I am SO excited! Is this dress not beautiful? I loved it the minute I saw it. It may not be my dress but I love it no doubt.
I want to make these banners to string around my parents backyard. We even have an old barn that will look lovely.
These invites were just to cute. I think I know what I am going to do for invites, to save money, and it is not these, I just thought they were too cute!
For party favors I want to do take-away s'mores. We have a huge bonfire in the backyard so if my guests want to go ahead and make their s'mores, they can!

What Is A Girl To Do?

So, I want these boots....the only problem.....money. Money makes the world go around, and I hate it. I realized this past couple of weeks as the weather started changing and I kept getting colder and colder that I have no warm clothing. So what is a girl to do? Why go shopping of course, the only problem is that I have a pretty high taste in clothes, aka anthropologie, mod cloth, american apparel, you get the picture. How is a girl supposed to stay warm when she is trying to save money and look good doing it? I am trying to wait till items go on sale but the weather is changing faster than that is happening. Yikes! Any suggestions, I am accepting gladly.

Last night Junk and I went to the Star Wars orchestra concert with my parents. While walking up to the BOK center in downtown Tulsa, OK I noticed these guys, Chick-fil-a cows dressed as Star Wars characters! They were handing out cow pez dispensers and I could not resist getting a picture with them.They were so adorable, even more so then my new green plaid scarf and white moccasins!

This weekend we went to Edmond to watch Junk's oldest sister Madison, who is the lead drum major there, perform and she was amazing! While we were there the youngest sisters in the family set their sites on the team mascot. Made for some of the cutest photos I have seen in a while! Junk's Grand dad and Grand mom were in town as well. Have not seen them in two years so I was super excited to see them.

Sunday and A Surprise

Sunday was the last day for my weekend creative project. I did get some good pictures even though my camera died. Day started off with a picture of my toiletries on the bathroom counter as I got ready for the day. We celebrated my Grandmother's birthday Sunday and went to Rib Crib for lunch, I love BBQ. My puppy, who is the biggest mooch pooch I know, tried relentlessly to get someone to pet her all day. A pic of Junk's shoes was fair game since he would not look at me for a real picture, still working on that. I took a picture of all my stuff in my over night bag since the whole weekend was about me moving around from one place to the next. I also took a picture of my plaster letters that spell JUNK, my soon to be last name, can't wait!! I even captured my mother's welcome mat on the front porch, she is the most welcoming and kind woman I know. One of those that is always there for you no matter what and I felt that this mat represented that part of her. " )

Now, on to my surprise... I just found out that I am one of the new design team members for the up and coming scrapbook manufacture Kiki Art!! I am SO excited and had a really hard time containing myself. I can't wait to be challenged and see what I can do to inspire others with the Kiki art product lines! Happy Tuesday!

Saturday

We had SO much fun Saturday. It started with me at work, not as fun and ended with the Tulsa fair, Way Fun!! We had McDonald's for lunch as you can see. It took us 45 minutes just to get to the parking lot at the fair grounds which was very annoying. Between the two of us we ate four corn dogs and a massive cup of nitrogen ice cream, best ice cream in the world. I love taking fair pictures, they always look vintage and very cool. At least Jordan was happy. We ended our night with a Shinedown concert, which was amazing! Best Staurday in a long time. " )

Friday was a good day. We did not have school and I went crazy with the camera. I got up and got dressed, tried to do my hair but curls last about 5 minutes with my hair (if anyone knows how to change that I would appreciate a comment!) I took a picture of my closet since I often spend my morning staring at my selection of clothes trying to figure out what to wear. I went grocery shopping, took a pic of my cart. I drove a lot Friday so I had to get a pic of my ringed hand driving, (no I was not actually driving when I took the picture). I made wassail for my friends that came to stay the night, also made spinach dip and it was SO good! I was looking at Freckled Nest that morning so I had to document that great clock she posted, it was already sold when I tried to go buy it on etsy. Very sad. And last but not least I actually took a picture of me that I actually liked. " )

This weekend, since it is our fall break, I decided to do a little weekend in the life. Especially since I sucked royally at my last attempt. I started this morning and will be documenting till Sunday. I have already taken twice as many photos since my last attempt so super excited! This is me all the way. I have a hard time letting go of my 'must be perfect' nature. This quote has so much meaning to it and makes me what to create something beautiful! I am realizing how little I have been taking pictures lately. Ugg! It aggravates me. I am coveting a bigger better camera and some good camera classes. Right now I don't have the time, hopefully soon. I have the money for my dream camera, been saving for a while, but I am so worried about spending that much on a camera right now. Graduating sure knows how to scare you into spending less. HA! It probably does not help that I am engaged to a man who HATES pictures. I keep telling him he is going to have to get over that. So far we are still in a stand off... any suggestions?

Yesterday I got off work and headed over to Junk's house for an evening of studying and when I got there he told me he had a surprise for me on his bed. So I walked down the hall and he had gotten me a CinnaPie from Papa John's which I had said I wanted to try earlier that day. If you don't know my fiance he does not do things like this so this was really special. Later, after I had scarfed half of the pie and we were watching t.v. relaxing, I looked at him and asked if we were going to work. Of course he said yes since I often ask him that question for fun and my usual reply is "Why?" Usually he says something about me being 'hot' or 'do you know who I am?' but this time he looked at me and said "because I can laugh with you". That is the most sentimental answer I have ever gotten out of the man. Progress? I think yes! He really is the greatest.

Life. That is such a strong thought provoking word. What do i wish for and what do I plan for? The answer: I have no idea. This quote makes me wonder what I really want. There have been many things regarding my life lately that have thrown me for a loop. First with my wedding and that mess. Even the recent posts about my court house wedding and vacation plans got shattered. (I don't need any advice regarding this situation because no one knows the real story and thus can not give me accurate advice, just know I have cried harder than I have ever in my life over this situation.) I am ready to move on with life, ready for graduation and ready to start wishing and dreaming again. I am planning for our big move to Fort Worth and our possible first house, wishing I would have the money to make it beautiful. Planning on finding a job, wishing for a job I love. Planning my fall/winter wardrobe, and wishing I could buy it all! I keep moving forward and that is all I can do.

Strength in the Everyday

Today I am finding strength in my everyday life, which is not easy for me. Trying to take each day as it comes and be happy for what I have. Several things on my plate lately. Between three collage classes and four jobs, yeah four jobs, life is pretty hectic. Oh, and did I mention the boy, he still needs to see me sometime. I have been really bad the last few days with procrastination, not sure why. I am usually the good student that has every thing done, seems to not be the case this semester. I love this quote and always have, it makes me feel empowered and that I can do anything if I just take that first step.

My life has been such a roller coaster of emotions the last couple of months. Doing my best to make the best of each and every day. This little poster makes me so happy! Need to print it off and hang it in my room.

In other news, Mr. Junk and I have started looking at houses in the Fort Worth area! We never thought we would move after graduation and immediately buy a house but after some recent happenings we decided it can't hurt to look and get the ball rolling. We will be meeting with a loan expert soon for all that good stuff, kinda scared won't lie! It has given me a chance to think about what I want to do with the house and below is a pic of what I want that extra room to look like. ; ) Think Junk will go for it? I hope so!!

We went to Jordan's cousin's wedding last weekend. My favorite part was the mechanical bull at the rehearsal dinner. It was Aubrey's too. Watching her spin around on the bull was so much fun. Actually the best part about the weekend was watching the four flower girls run around without a care in the world. Great food and great company, it was a great night.

Hunting some new fall/school clothes. And I am in luck. I have been finding lots of items I adore. The hard part is always narrowing it down.

Thinking about what I want to do with our new apartment that we will be moving into in about
4 -5 months, so exciting. Love this cute little eating nook. Our apartment has a small little breakfast nook that also serves as a dining room so this is, I think, a great option for us. No class today and muffins are in the oven, loving that. Oklahoma State Fair is on its way and will be here in a week and a half, which is one of our favorite fall activities. Hope your Tuesday is a happy one. " )

Needing Motivation

Feeling very lazy lately. I have homework, but can't bring myself to do it. I have been in three car accidents in the last two months, one of them yesterday. My poor car probably thinks I am never going to stop having to take it to the body shop. I have cried for two days over this one since the last one happened just a month ago and I just got the car back from getting painted two weeks ago and now I have to do it all over again, such a waste of money. *sigh* And I still don't have a job after graduation which is vastly approaching. Life just hits you doesn't it? I do have most of my wedding things done though. Everything that needed to be booked immediately and needed a deposit is done, thank goodness. I got a new hair cut today, really like it so that is a plus. Well not much I can do. What do you do to get motivated?

"Cake, everybody loves cake, cakes have layers..." Haha Loving this wood grain cake idea. I do have an idea in mind for my cake , three tear red velvet with cream cheese frosting smoothed to look like fondant, thin white fondant rope banded around each layers base with little silver dragees placed on it, hand painted wooden figures on top and on the bottom under the stand dried vine wrapped to look like a birds nest, *sigh* so cute! Been planning like a mad women for two weeks now, did you know that people start planning these things more than a year in advance? I am having SO much trouble finding a place that is not already completely booked. What is up with that!?!? I found one venue I love but they are not available on the date that I have the church booked so I am going to call the church in the mornign and see if I can't move the date, pray for me, I am ripping my hair out. Then I have to call every one else and figure out if they are available that day. I really did not want to wait to get married but it keeps getting pushed back since all of the venues are booked or the cake decorator is free but not the phtographer and so on and so forth. This is to stressful. I am hoping that come Monday everything that needs to be booked will be booked. YEAH! Hears hoping. If anyone has any suggestions please feel free to share, I could use all the help I can get. " )

I love these little guys, definitely ordering them for my cake. How come no one told me how hard it is to plan a wedding! OMGosh! I am pulling my hair out already. Decided to put down the Martha Stewart Wedding magazine and take a big breath. Till the venue is booked I am not planning another thing. Although I do have my cake picked out. You loured me to Stillwater because you said you had a scrapbooking present for me so I reluctantly made the trip for you. You met me on the porch of your new house and you asked if I wanted to see my present, I thought it would be inside since you did not have anything in your hands so I tried to go around you and you stopped me. You started to kneel and I remember thinking 'What is he doing?' Then I figured it out. I looked at you and said "No no no no, you are not doing this to me right here?" But you were. You said "Will you marry me" and I could not believe it. Then your two best friends came running out the door waving sparklers, just like we always joked you would have them do and I said "yes" I can't wait to spend forever with you. I love you.

This week is a window change week and they are looking oh so lovely. We are doing an optometry theme. Yes the mannequins are still naked, I haven't gotten that far but don't they look great? I'll post the completed windows later this week.

Goals and To Dos

School starts back in three weeks and it just hit me today that it will be my last first day of school. Hit me hard. I started thinking of all these goals and things I want to accomplish and how to do them. I thought it would help to write them out, then maybe I will actually have a chance at remembering them. " )

1. Re-design the blog to be more 'me' - this is going to be a hard one since I don't know how.
2. Get published, my life goal... to work for CK or Scrapbook Trends magazine, Just GO FOR IT!
3. Clean out my room and get rid of all the stuff I don't want to haul to Texas in five months.
4. Get a fall wardrobe I actually like.
5. Speaking of not wanting to haul stuff to Texas... I need a job there first! At least Jordan has one.
6. Create more.
7. Finally update my etsy shop and do what I started it for! Again.. GO FOR IT!
8. Stop worrying about the future so much, live now so later you don't wish you could go back.
9. Be a better person.
